The main menu contains a “Reminders” item button.

When that button turns red, there are reminders that are either due today or past due.

If there are no due or past due reminders, the button is blue like all other menu buttons.

When you display the reminder list, today’s reminders are shown in pink. Future reminders are white. Past due reminders are light blue.
