The Practice Resource tracks one or more managed care authorizations for each defined insurance carrier on the Insurance tab.

There is a daily Managed Care Alert Report that warns you of authorizations that are within 30 percent of their remaining number of sessions or $100 of remaining allowed charges so that you have sufficient notice that you must extend the authorization before you treat the patient without authorization.

The system automatically counts down the remaining authorized sessions and/or charges each time an activity is billed.

There is also a window that captures the required data for completion of a HCFA 1500 claim form for the patient. This information is recorded for each individual insurance policy recorded for the patient on the Insurance tab.
